Oaknut Children’s Centre (OCC), a crèche, nursery and primary school was established and registered with Corporate Affairs Commission in 2014 and is also registered with Lagos State Ministry of Education.

CURRICULUM: Traditional and British. We employ appropriate instructional materials including but not limited to Montessori materials to facilitate learning and development. We encourage the learning of home languages because it is a catalyst to easier comprehension of multiple languages.  OCC curriculum is executed in a friendly diverse environment. The teachers and nannies are well-educated, trained and experienced and are still being developed.

In OCC, the classes which are named after precious stones with great meanings are:

Crèche – Sapphire (0 – 12) and Amber (12 – 24), 

Pre-school –Topaz (Playgroup), Ruby – (Nursery 1) and Diamond – (Nursery 2)

Primary Section: Garnet – (First Grade), Emerald – (Second Grade), Lapis lazuli – (Third Grade)   Beryl – (Fourth Grade), Alexandrite – (Fifth Grade) and, Jasper & Jade – (Sixth Grade). 

OCC provides after school services. 

 

BOARD OF TRUSTEES:

Education Director: Dr. (Mrs.) Chinasa Jonathan-Ojei 

Dr. (Mrs.) Chinasa Jonathan-Ojei transited from Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) Plc in October, 2018 as the Head, Human Capital Management. She has a first degree in Economics (Educational Planning and Management), Master’s Degrees in Human Resources Management and International Law and Diplomacy with a Graduate Certificate in Education (Early Childhood Administration, Management & Leadership program), from Walden University. She has many years of teaching and people management experience. Chinasa is also the Coordinator\CEO of Teens Empowerment & Salvage Initiative (TESI), the Visionary of Think Africa Initiative (TAI) and the author of nine books.

Prof Pat Utomi is a globally respected man of repute with an intimidating profile. 

Comfort Ukpong is the Director of some of the best schools in Nigeria. She holds a Master’s degree in Education (Sociology) and has many years’ experience of school administration. 

Dr Austin Nweze, a governorship candidate of Ebonyi State in 2015, is an economist and a faculty member at the Pan-Atlantic University. 

Dr Busuyi Abu, a medical practitioner, is ‘the hand of God’ at Kamorass Hospital.

Mrs. Emily Ajisebutu has headed many schools including Corona School, Ikoyi, Rock Montessori, Lekki and Living Waters. 

Jonathan Ibeh Ojei is a responsible husband, father, public servant and the coordinator of Onicha Olona for Jesus Christ International Crusade Ministry.
